We support people with a wide range of mental health conditions. If needed, we can also connect you with expert psychological services to ensure you receive the very best support.

What is a Mental Health Care Plan?

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with a mental health disorder, we work with you to develop a Mental Health Care Plan.

This plan outlines the type of care that may help you, as well as the goals that you and your GP have agreed upon. The plan may also include referrals to local mental health services.

We can also help with access to clinical care for patients with severe mental health disorders. Under this care model, your GP works in collaboration with psychiatrists to monitor the patient’s mental state, help manage medications and strengthen links with other health professionals and clinical service providers.

What is depression?

While we all feel sad, moody or low from time to time, some people experience these feelings intensely, for long periods of time (weeks, months or even years) and sometimes without any apparent reason. This is what’s known as depression.

Depression is more than just a low mood – it’s a serious condition that affects your physical and mental health. Treatment is available to help people who have depression. Speak to your GP today to find out how we can help.

What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is more than just feeling stressed or worried. It’s a condition where these anxious feelings don’t go away. These feelings can happen without any particular reason or cause.

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health conditions in Australia. The sooner people with anxiety get support, the more likely they are to recover. We’re here to help.

What are Focused Psychological Strategies?

Focused Psychological Strategies (FPS) are specific treatments for mental health disorders that draw upon evidence-based psychological therapies. They can be an effective component in treating a variety of mental health conditions, including:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Post traumatic stress disorder

Please speak to your GP about referrals for this service, which are usually included in a Mental Health Care Plan.
