Denmark Medical Centre's obstetricians are:

  • Dr Sharon Jackson
  • Dr David Ward

As Denmark Hospital does not provide maternity services it will be necessary for you to be seen by an obstetrician who is able to deliver your baby in Albany Hospital.

Dr. David Ward is an Obstetrician who practices at Denmark Medical Centre and is able to deliver your baby at Albany Hospital. Antenatal patients have the option of seeing him in Denmark prior to delivery.

Obstetric Fees

Standard Fees apply to Antenatal Consultations - $83.00 (Out of pocket expense $42.90).
Standard Fees apply to planning and management of pregnancy.

  • $320.00 (Out of pocket expense $44.50) is billed by the doctor planning to deliver your baby. This is payable once per pregnancy.
  • $175.00 (Out of pocket expenses $53.70) is billed by the doctor who manages your pregnancy (beyond 20 weeks) prior to referring you to an obstetrician. This is payable once per pregnancy.

Public and private patients in Albany Regional Hospital will not receive any accounts for any treatment required before, during and after the pregnancy. Please ensure if you elect to go private that you have maternity cover on your Private Health Fund policy.
